Call for tenders — SafeBorders AI Intelligence Suite

The SafeBorders project, funded by the European Union under the Internal Security Fund, launched a tender for the design, development, testing and deployment of privacy-preserving AI-based IT tools supporting the prevention and prosecution of trafficking in human beings, with particular focus on child trafficking.

The selected contractor develops secure and ethical analytical tools capable of processing structured and unstructured anonymised data for research, prevention, policy development, risk analysis and training. The scope covers requirements analysis with partners, system and AI model design, privacy-by-design anonymisation, bias mitigation and explainability, testing and secure EU-based deployment, documentation and support.

The tender ran from 20 to 27 February 2026; the platform's pilot version is expected to be ready for testing in 2026.
